Super experience with Marc at Moores in Guelph. He is very pleasant, professional and has a great sense of humor. Marc worked hard to help find the look I wanted, while balancing himself with other customers. Over three days I purchased a blazer, waistcoats, pants, shirts and ties as I was very tired of constantly looking disheveled and under dressed. A big thanks to Marc and the rest of the Moores of Guelph Team.

They took my measurements and never sent in the order, 3 days before a wedding I had to drive back 45 minutes each way to get measurements re done and then drive back again the night before the wedding to pick up the suit. I was told that they would wave the “rush fee” for me because they had to rush the order after they never sent the order in the first place. I requested that suspenders be added to my order on the second visit and was told they will be, when the suit came in, the order for suspenders was also never sent. All this is after I had to go to this Moores location because the customer service at the Mississauga was so bad. The staff was nice about their mistake but if I had not called to keep Moores accountable then I would not have had a suit at all for the wedding.

If you're hoping to rent suits from Moores for a wedding, choose any other location than this one. Due to a "copy and paste" error, I along with a second groomsman, were given the incorrect suits (matching the groom, not the groomsmen), finding this out on the day of the wedding. We spent 4 hours waiting for correct suits to arrive, causing a considerable disruption to the day-of event, and undue stress to the groom. Despite delivering the suits with only an hour to spare before the reception, the woman who delivered the suits made every excuse in order to pass off accountability. This still wasn't going to garner a poor review. But after myself and the other groomsmen returned or suits, we were told by the groom that he was never contacted with even a verbal apology from this Guelph location, despite this location being where he rented everything from. Fortunately, another groomsmen reached out to the Kitchener location, who will be offering an apology and compensation for the unnecessary stress put on him that day. Ultimately, this location made a lazy mistake, passed the buck when it came to responsibilty, and still haven't reached out to make amends with the groom. Simply choose another location for your suit rentals.

Wandered around the store for 5 mins with not even a hello. An employee was helping customer at the front desk so I gave it a few more mins only to discover there were two more employees in the back who then both came out and completely ignored me as well. I gave it even a few more mins and eventually gave up. They barely noticed me leaving. I should have read the reviews first…

I took my grade 8 student to buy a formal outfit for graduation. We were not acknowledged or greeted even though there were 3 employees and only 2 other customers in the store. We looked around for about 15 min and then my sons father stared at the employees standing at the front. A woman came over and asked what we were looking for I explained that we wanted to buy a formal outfit not sure if we wanted a jacket or vest and pants shirt and tie. She instantly told me they didn’t have much because of the time of year even though we didn’t know his size. She then measured him for pants and told me he was a man 30 and offered us a pair of dockers.( not formal) I asked him to try them on for size as I has doubts that he was a 30. Needless to say they were huge. She again told me that they didn’t have much…I mentioned to her that I had seen that they carried kids up to a size 20 she left us and came back with a pair of dress pants for him.He tried them on they were to tight she told me that they were a 28 so again they had nothing at this point I go over to the rack myself and see that the size had been a boys 14 with a 28 leg… I grabbed a size 16 boys and they fit perfectly so clearly she didn’t know how to read the tag.She laughed and said kid sizes confused her. As we tried on a vest and shirts off the rack(not unfolding anything) my son didn’t like anything so I found a lavender shirt size 15 1/2 ultra slim she told me she wouldn’t unfold it because it won’t fit he’s a 15 ultra slim by her measurements. I’ve never had a sales person refuse to unfold a shirt especially since it was more expensive than the rack shirts. Eventually we find a shirt ,tie ,vest and pants. We were here approx 40 min only one other customer was in the store. As she’s ringing us in she very pleasant at this point she cuts all the tags off of the clothes….I didn’t really think about until we left Why? The outfit ends up costing $265 about $100.00 cheaper than I was expecting this was clearly her fault as she wouldn’t unfold the shirt or even show us other pants as she kept saying we have nothing in his size. Please understand he tried on 3 pairs (due to her not knowing how to measure and read the tags) of pants 2 shirts 3 jackets and a vest not like we were making a mess for her to clean up. I’ve since been told that she took the tags off to ensure we didn’t return anything as she’s on commission.. To me this was sneaky and dishonest. If we couldn’t afford it we wouldn’t have gone to moores not a good experience at all beware….The only nice thing is my son looks great in his outfit but I will not recommend this location ever.
